Empowering Citizens: Yogi Adityanath’s Call for Inclusive Development Through ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently conducted a thorough review of the preparations for the upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.’ Scheduled to cover 57,709 gram panchayats and 2,341 urban areas in Uttar Pradesh by January 26, the yatra aims to extend the benefits of central and state public welfare schemes to every eligible individual across the nation.

In a meeting with various department officials, Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized the citizens’ crucial role in realizing the vision of a ‘Developed India’ set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under Modi’s leadership, the last nine and a half years have been instrumental in shaping a ‘New India-Prosperous India.’ The Prime Minister envisions India achieving developed nation status by the centenary year of independence in 2047.

Aligned with the vision of inclusive development, the Yatra seeks to diligently extend the benefits of both central and state government public welfare schemes to every eligible individual across the nation. It is poised to be a significant stride towards broader outreach and citizen empowerment.

Adityanath highlighted the inclusion of key schemes such as PM Awas Yojana (Rural), National Rural Livelihood Mission, PM Kisan, Fasal Bima Yojana (Crop Insurance Scheme), Poshan Abhiyan, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Aushadhi Yojana, and PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana under the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.’

The Yatra involves direct contact with citizens, creating awareness, and providing access to essential services such as sanitation facilities, financial services, electricity, housing, food security, nutrition, health services, and clean drinking water. The efficient implementation of welfare schemes is crucial, and citizens attending the Yatra programs will be administered the oath of ‘Panch Pran.’

Adityanath stressed the importance of collecting feedback from beneficiaries during the Yatra, engaging with progressive farmers, and celebrating the achievements of gram panchayats that have successfully completed various schemes. Committees at different levels have been formed to plan the routes and ensure proper communication with local communities. Publicity measures will be implemented to raise awareness of scheduled events.

The Chief Minister called for a concrete action plan for the Yatra, from the gram panchayat to the government level, showcasing success stories resulting from innovative efforts by both central and state governments. Vehicles used during the journey will be equipped with GPS for continuous monitoring of activities. The Yatra is a collective journey towards inclusive development, and citizens are encouraged to actively participate in realizing the vision of a ‘Developed India.’
