Kashmir Zone Police tweeted at around 5:20 am on Saturday, “Encounter has started in Mitrigam area of ​​#Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details will follow.

On 28 February, security forces gunned down a terrorist involved in the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit in Pulwama. The operation took place in the early hours in Avantipora area of ​​the district.

Jammu and Kashmir Police said, sharing updates about the operation against terrorists, “One terrorist killed in the encounter. However, his body has not been recovered yet.”

On February 26, terrorists fired upon a Kashmiri Pandit, identified as Sanjay Sharma, while he was going to a local market in Pulwama district, reported media. He was taken to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
