Ex- Pak PM Imran Khan granted 2 weeks bail by Islamabad HC in Al-Qadir corruption case

Imran Khan was ordered to be released immediately by the Supreme Court on Thursday. After his release, Khan was kept in the guest house of the police line. The Supreme Court had rejected Khan's appeal to go home.

Ex- Pak PM Imran Khan granted 2 weeks bail by Islamabad HC in Al-Qadir corruption case

Islamabad: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has got bail for 2 weeks from the Islamabad High Court in the Al-Qadir Trust case. On Friday, the Islamabad High Court granted bail to Imran Khan on certain conditions. It was told on the official Twitter handle of PTI that Imran Khan will address the public on Friday from the Srinagar Highway after the hearing in the Islamabad High Court.

Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered Imran Khan to be released immediately on Thursday. After his release, Khan was kept in the guest house of the police line. The Supreme Court had rejected Khan’s appeal to go home. The Chief Justice had said- ‘You will have to stay in the police line. However, you will no longer be treated like a prisoner.

After the release of Imran, his supporters celebrated across the country including Zaman Park on Thursday. Imran’s first wife Jemima Goldsmith also expressed happiness on Twitter.
