The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the Indian film ‘RRR’ has created history by winning an Oscar in the Best Original Song category at the Academy Awards. In this category, the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the song ‘Applause’ from the movie ‘Tell It Like a Woman’, ‘Hold My Hand’ from ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ and beat “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Telugu song ‘Naatu Naatu’ is composed by MM Keeravani and sung by Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj. ‘Naatu Naatu’ means ‘to dance’.
The song is picturized on actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, in which their peppy dance moves have also been appreciated. Earlier, ‘Naatu Naatu’ singers Kaal Bhairav and Rahul Sipligunj gave a power-packed performance on this Telugu song at the Oscar ceremony, leaving all the audience present at the venue awestruck.
‘The Elephant Whispers’ has won the Oscar Award in the short film documentary category. Producer Guneet Monga shared a picture with the award on her Instagram account on the film’s Oscar win. This short film from OTT platform ‘Netflix’, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves, beat ‘Hallout’, ‘How Do You Measure a Year?’, ‘The Martha Mitchell Effect’ and ‘Stranger at the Gate’ in this category.
‘The Elephant Whispers’ is based on the unbreakable bond between two elephants and their caretakers. Monga and Achin Jain of the production company ‘Sikhya Entertainment’ are also its producers. The Oscar ceremony was held on Monday morning (Indian time) at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
