Now the way has been cleared for the Women’s Under-17 Football World Cup to be played in India. Earlier, FIFA had banned the All India Football Federation by saying that no third party can interfere in the All India Football Federation, while a court-formed committee was working in India Football.

FIFA on Friday decided to lift the ban on Indian football. FIFA imposed the ban due to third party interference in AIFF. After banning the AIFF, FIFA issued a statement saying that the decision to suspend the All India Football Federation was taken due to excessive third party interference.

The statement issued by FIFA further said, “Fifa is taking this decision after receiving confirmation that the Committee of Administrators (COA) established to assume the powers of the AIFF Executive Committee has been abolished and The AIFF administration had gained complete control over the day-to-day affairs of the AIFF.
FIFA and AFC will continue to monitor the situation and support AIFF in holding elections on time.
