New Delhi: Many star Indian wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, are protesting at Jantar Mantar demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of Wrestling Federation of India. Wrestlers also took out a candle march at Jantar Mantar on Sunday. During this, Commonwealth Games medalist Vinesh Phogat has also given a warning.

Vinesh said that if Brij Bhushan is not arrested by May 21, then the protesting wrestlers will take a big step. The wrestlers had accused Brij Bhushan of sexual exploitation and have been sitting on a dharna for the past several days demanding his arrest.

On his further preparations in wrestling amid opposition, Vinesh said that he will play. If given a chance, he will absolutely play. They are trying to do maximum training even in the midst of opposition. He takes out time and is training as per the schedule. The issue of wrestlers has become hot all over the country. In January, he sat on a dharna for the first time. After this, on 23 April, Bajrang, Vinesh and Sakshi again sat on a dharna.

Wrestlers allege that 7 women wrestlers went to the police station to file a case against Brij Bhushan, but the Delhi Police did not register an FIR. After this the wrestlers approached the Supreme Court and filed a petition for registering an FIR. After the court’s notice, the police registered an FIR on 28 April. Wrestlers say that they will not get up from the strike till the arrest of the President of the Wrestling Federation of India.
