Fierce fire in Bangladesh’s textile market, one of the largest wholesale market

Fierce fire in Bangladesh’s textile market, one of the largest wholesale market

Dhaka: A major fire broke out in Bangabazar, the biggest wholesale market of Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka, on Tuesday. The fire has spread to more than six buildings and the surrounding residential area, officials said. Tell that there are more than six thousand shops in the market.

The fire is so fierce that the flames are visible till the top of a bridge located far away. People are posting videos of this. According to officials, 47 units of fire brigade are present on the spot. At present, no concrete reason has been revealed yet as to why the fire broke out. But it is being said that short circuit can be the reason for the fire. Since it was early morning, people were not present here. Otherwise a terrible accident could have happened.

Army and Air Force are helping to extinguish the fire

Let us tell you that about 50 fire tenders have been deployed to extinguish the flames. Along with this, helicopters of Army and Air Force are spraying water in the affected areas. Rafi Al Farooq, Duty Officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Control Room, said that the fire started at around 6.10 am
