Mumbai: After actor Salman Khan, another celebrity of Bollywood, Karan Johar, is being named as the next target of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. As per the report, one of the accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, Sourabh Mahakal, revealed that the noted director was on the gang’s radar to extort money from the film maker.
Police haven’t verified the claim. “Mahakal has planned to wrest 5 crore from the director but he may be misleading the police,” as stated by one of the police officers.
According to Mahakal’s statement, Vikram Brar, brother of Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar, had finalised these plans with him on social media, specifically the Instagram and Signal apps.
Earlier, Mahakal had claimed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had been responsible for a threatening letter to Salman Khan. The accused had claimed that three men, who worked in a factory in Palghar, went to Mumbai to deliver the threatening letter to the noted actor. When police visited the factory and investigated the matter, they found that these three men were not employed in that factory.
The police then discovered that the three culprits whose names Mahakal had been reciting were arrested and put behind bars for looting a jewellery shop in Rajasthan’s Sirohi prior to the incident (June 5).
Police have claimed that Mahakal is fabricating stories, so police don’t have trust in his verdicts.
Sourabh Mahakal was arrested by the Pune crime branch last week. A team from the Mumbai crime branch had interrogated Mahakal regarding the Salman Khan threat case. He is very much involved in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
