Filmfare OTT Awards 2023: Alia Bhatt and Manoj Bajpayee Secure Major Wins, Jubilee Dominates Top Honors

The 4th edition of the Filmfare OTT Awards, dedicated to recognizing excellence in OTT series and web original films, took place on November 26. The event celebrated outstanding achievements across various categories, including artists, directors, storytellers, musicians, and technicians.

The Filmfare OTT Awards, a prestigious celebration of storytelling in the Indian streaming space, unfolded on Sunday with grandeur. Esteemed actors such as Alia Bhatt, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, and Karishma Tanna claimed top acting honors. Alia Bhatt achieved a significant triumph, securing the Best Actor, Web Original Film (Female) award for her Netflix debut, ‘Darlings,’ while Manoj Bajpayee earned the Best Actor, Web Original Film (Male) accolade for the legal drama ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.’ Notably, Vikramaditya Motwane’s ‘Jubilee’ emerged as a dominant force, clinching over 5 awards across various categories, including Cinematography, sound design, and VFX.

The winners’ list also featured outstanding contributions from web series like ‘Kohrra’ and ‘Scoop,’ as well as films such as ‘Monica,’ ‘O My Darling,’ and ‘Gulmohar.

Further adding to the list of notable winners were Suvinder Vicky, recognized with the Best Actor, Series (Male): Drama award for his outstanding performance in the Netflix series ‘Kohrra.’ Actress Rajshri Deshpande also secured a major win, earning the Best Actor, Series (Female): Drama accolade for her compelling portrayal of Neelam Krishnamoorthy in ‘Trial By Fire.

Vijay Varma, delivering a gripping performance in the crime series ‘Dahaad,’ was lauded with the Best Actor, Series (Male), Critics: Drama award, while his co-star Sonakshi Sinha clinched the Best Actor, Series (Female), Critics: Drama honor. Sonakshi Sinha shared the award with Karishma Tanna for their roles in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scoop,’ a series based on the life of former crime reporter Jigna Vora.

In the comedy genre, Abhishek Banerjee and Maanvi Gagroo took home the Best Actor, Series (Male) and (Female) awards, respectively, for their outstanding performances in ‘The Great Weddings Of Munnes’ and ‘TVF Tripling.
