Big news has come out from Kerala. Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express (16306) train caught fire at Kannur railway station here. The fire broke out in the general coach of the train. On being informed by the station master and the officers on duty, the fire engine quickly reached the spot. The news of fire in the train at the station created a stir. At the same time, seeing smoke and flames rising from the train, panic spread among the people present at the station. However, the railway team has brought the fire under control. There is no information of any casualty. Railways has ordered an inquiry into the incident. The investigation is on.
A fire broke out in a bogie of Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express at Kannur railway station on Thursday, following which the train was stopped at Kannur railway station itself, Southern Railway said. One bogie of the train was completely gutted due to the fire.
