The first service of the government platform started in Bengaluru. It was getting around 10,000 food orders everyday. Now ONDC has suddenly come into limelight.
ONDC:Technology has made our life very easy. If hungry, people immediately order food online. Means the hassle of going out is over and fresh food reaches your doorstep. However, some food delivery companies charge exorbitantly by adding taxes and commission to the bill. ONDC was launched in September 2022. Now no more waiting for offers to order food. ONDC has come to give a tough competition to Swiggy-Zomato. This is a government e-commerce platform. Which connects both seller and buyer i.e. customer directly to each other.
ONDC is a not for profit company. Many banks like SBI, HDFC are its share holders. This company has got the support of the Government of India. Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani is working on this project.
If you have Paytm app then search ONDC in your Paytm app. Now at the bottom you will see ONDC store. Click on it and now you will see the names of all types of food and restaurants. From here you can order your favorite food. There is currently no app for ONDC.
1. On behalf of ONDC, users are currently being offered Flat 50%.
2. For this, instead of coupon code, ONDC50 has to be entered. Due to this, food items are becoming cheaper by 50%.
3. Apart from this, delivery is free on ONDC, for which Swiggy or Zomato usually charge Rs 30 to 100.
4. Customers also get the benefit of ONDC app being commission free to some extent.
