According to information from sources, Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accompanied her to the hospital in the morning.
Later, the hospital released a health bulletin, according to the news agency PTI.
“Today, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the UPA, has been admitted to our hospital. She is being treated by Dr. Arup Basu and his staff at the Department of Chest Medicine. “For surveillance and treatment of a viral respiratory infection, Mrs. Gandhi has been hospitalised, “said Dr. Ajay Swaroop, head of the hospital’s management board.
Sonia Gandhi has reportedly been ill since Tuesday, so Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra returned to Delhi after walking seven kilometres as part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra that entered Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening, according to sources.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress left Mavikalan in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, at six in the morning on Wednesday to continue travelling.
However, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra chose not to travel with Rahul Gandhi when the yatra resumed today.
