Former Gujarat minister Vallabhbhai Vaghasia died in a road accident

Former Agriculture Minister of Gujarat and a senior BJP leader from Amreli district Vallabhbhai Vaghasia passed away last evening. His car was hit by a bulldozer and he suffered a severe head injury that resulted in his death.

Former Gujarat minister Vallabhbhai Vaghasia died in a road accident

Amreli: Former Agriculture Minister of Gujarat and a senior BJP leader from Amreli district Vallabhbhai Vaghasia passed away. Vallabhbhai Vaghasia’s car collided with a bulldozer near Savarkundla town in Amreli district. According to the information given by the police on Friday, former minister Vaghasia died in the accident while another person in the car was injured. An official of Wanda police station said that the accident took place on Thursday night.

Agriculture and Urban Housing Minister was made in 2016

The police officer said that Vaghasia was returning from some village to Savarkundla, when the accident took place at around 8.30 pm on the state highway near Wanda village. Another person sitting with him in the car has been injured. Police said that the former minister was driving the car at the time of the accident. The car rammed into a bulldozer and he was seriously injured, he said. Vaghasia was rushed to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. 69-year-old Vaghasia, a former BJP MLA from Savarkundla assembly seat, had served as the agriculture and urban housing minister in the first term of former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani’s government.

BJP leaders arrived in large numbers to meet

As soon as the news of Vallabhbhai Vaghasia’s accident was received, a large number of people including BJP workers and office bearers reached the hospital. However, he was declared brought dead at the hospital. At the same time, Savarkundla police have registered a case regarding this incident and they are engaged in further investigation to find out the cause of the accident.
