Former IAS officer Bhupinder Bhalla appointed new chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council

New Delhi: Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, a 1990-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), according to an official order issued on Friday.

A 1990-batch IAS officer, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla is currently the additional chief secretary of Delhi. The announcement comes just a day after the 22nd Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Vinai Kumar Saxena, assumed charge.

Additionally, the new appointment also comes after the Centre recently completed the process to unify three MCDs under one Delhi Municipal Corporation.
