Ranchi: Former Indian captain MS Dhoni recently announced the launch of his film production company, Dhoni Entertainment, and is now prepared to enter the film industry.
The production company’s first project, an upcoming Tamil romantic drama titled Let’s Get Married, was formally unveiled on Friday. A motion poster was also released to reveal the movie’s initial look.
The movie appears to be about a road trip based on the motion picture. It is promoted as a “love story” drama. The best-known works by former Bigg Boss Tamil competitor Harish Kalyan include Pyaar Prema Kadhal, Dharala Prabhu, and Oh Manna Penne. In contrast, Ivana most recently appeared in the Tamil comedy Love Today.
Let’s Get Married is set to be directed by Ramesh Thamilmani. It stars Harish Kalyan and Ivana in the lead roles. Announcing the title, Dhoni Entertainment took to Instagram and wrote, “We’re super excited to share, Dhoni Entertainment’s first production is titled #LGM – #LetsGetMarried! “Title, look at the motion poster out now.”
The remaining members of the cast and crew have not yet been formally revealed. Sakshi Singh Dhoni, the managing director of Dhoni Entertainment, conceptualised the film, which has already begun production.
According to a release, Sakshi wrote the script for the movie. Ramesh Thamilmani, the film’s director, turned it into a narrative. “I could tell right away that Sakshi’s concept was unique as soon as I read it. “It was innovative and had all the ingredients for good family entertainment,” added Thamilmani. Earlier, Thamilmani produced the graphic novel Atharva: The Origin, which starred M.S. Dhoni.
However, rumours about Dhoni supporting Nayanthara in a forthcoming Tamil production surfaced last year. Dhoni Entertainment refuted it as a false rumour. Dhoni Entertainment is currently not working with anyone named Sanjay.
Interestingly, Nayanthara’s husband, Vignesh Shivan, directed Dhoni for a TV commercial campaign last year.
