Former India skipper MS Dhoni turns 41, wife sakshi shares video of birthday celebration, Suresh Raina, Virender Sehwag wish him

Mumbai: On Thursday, World Cup winning captain and Former India skipper MS Dhoni turns 41 on his birthday. He is currently in UK. His wife sakshi shares a video of her birthday celebration and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was in attendance. His immense contribution to Indian cricket is impressive, and he is also a social media sensation with more than 37 million followers on Instagram.

Taking to the Instagram, MS Dhoni’s wife share a video, in the video, Dhoni can be seen cutting the cake and, in the background, a big banner read: Happy Birthday Mahi.

Commenting to the video, Ranveer Singh wrote: “Love You, Mahi! Happiest Birthday to you. Love and energy”. Suresh Raina shared a special birthday note for Dhoni. “Happy Birthday to my big brother. Thank you for being my biggest supporter and mentor in every phase of life, may god bless you and your family with good health always. Much love to you Mahi bhai. Wishing you a great year ahead! @msdhoni #HappyBirthdayDhoni” he wrote along with a heartwarming video on Twitter.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag also extended wishes to Dhoni. “Till the time full stop doesn’t come, a sentence isn’t completed. Till the time Dhoni is at the crease, match isn’t completed. Not all teams have the fortune to have a person like Dhoni, Happy B’day to a gem of a person & player, MS Dhoni. Om Helicopteraya Namaha,” he tweeted.

“An idol & an inspiration 👏 👏 Here’s wishing @msdhoni – former #TeamIndia Captain & one of the finest to have ever graced the game – a very happy birthday. 🎂 👍” wrote the BCCI.

Dhoni, who made his international debut in December 2004 against Bangladesh, went on to play 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is. Under his captaincy, India also climbed to the top of Test rankings and won the Test mace. He led CSK to four IPL titles, only second to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the lucrative T20 league. During his international and IPL playing days, Dhoni has always been known for his calmness and exquisite captaincy on the field. Over the years, he has cemented his place as one of the finest wicket-keepers across the world.

In December 2014, he had announced his retirement from Tests. He called time on his Test career after playing 90 Tests, in which he scored 4,876 runs at an average of 38.09. Then in 2017, he had handed over the captaincy to Virat Kohli in the white-ball formats.
