Bengaluru: Raichur police said on Monday that four college-girl students from the city in Karnataka have been missing for the last four days.
The police in the neighbouring states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are also looking for them. The girls are from the Raichur Government Women’s College, and their names are Monica, Bhagyashree, Bhavani, a class 12 student, and Nandini, a class 11 student.
They have not attended the class for the previous four days. Chandrashekar, the principal of the college where the girls studied, said, “They have gone missing outside without coming to our college.” Three of those students did not attend college regularly last year either.
The police have been running from pillar to post to find the missing girls. Among the disappearing girls, three are from the science stream, while one is a commerce student. The girls’ identification has been made.
Police have started a manhunt to bring all the girls safely home.
