Four-storey building collapses in Kalyanpuri area of Delhi, no casualties reported

New Delhi: On Saturday, A four-story under-construction building in Kalyanpuri area of Delhi collapsed, causing a chaotic situation. Fortunately, according to police sources, there were no reported injuries. Media reports indicate that the building was evacuated before the collapse, with workers and nearby residents shifted to safety.

New Delhi: On Saturday, A four-story under-construction building in Kalyanpuri area of Delhi collapsed, causing a chaotic situation. Fortunately, according to police sources, there were no reported injuries.

Media reports indicate that the building was evacuated before the collapse, with workers and nearby residents shifted to safety. The video shows that the three-storey structure collapsed within seconds, causing locals to run to safety amidst a cloud of dust. The collapse damaged a nearby house.

On Saturday, According to media reports, the incident occurred around 3:50 PM. The building reportedly began tilting while construction work was underway. Upon arrival, the police immediately evacuated all the occupants of the house.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police, fire brigade personnel and other concerned authorities swung into action immediately . As a precautionary measure, nearby houses were evacuated and the area was cordoned off. Another house located on the road has been further damaged due to the collapsed building.

Rescue operations are currently underway to clear the debris and ensure smooth flow of traffic on the affected road. This comes a day after three persons were left injured when a part of a building being demolished in south Mumbai’s Fort area gave way, officials said.
