India’s campaign at the 2023 Asian Games began on a positive note, with the men’s volleyball team securing an impressive victory over Korea after a stellar performance in the rowing event. On Thursday, Indian athletes aim to continue their strong performances. The women’s cricket team, led by Smriti Mandhana, is set to compete against Malaysia in the quarter-final match, marking the historic inclusion of women’s cricket in the Asian Games for the first time. The men’s Indian football team, seeking to recover from a tough loss to China, will face Bangladesh in their second group stage match. Meanwhile, the women’s football team will commence their Asian Games 2023 campaign with a match against Taipei.

Women’s Cricket Quarterfinal: India vs. Malaysia (6:30 am)

Rowing Repechage Round (Lightweight Women’s Doubles Sculls): Kiran & Bharti Anshika (6:40 am)

Rowing Repechage Round (Lightweight Men’s Doubles Sculls): Arjun Lal Jat & Arvind Singh (6:50 am)

The 2023 Asian Games officially begin on September 23 in Hangzhou, China, and will run until October 8. Qualifier matches for various events have already commenced, with Indian women’s cricket earning a direct entry to the quarter-finals due to their higher rankings. The women’s cricket final is scheduled for September 25.
