Georgia 3 Indian-American students killed : Three Indian-American students were killed and two others injured after a speeding car overturned in Alpharetta, Georgia. All of them were 18 years old and two of those killed were women. Speed may be a primary factor in a fatal car crash, according to Alpharetta police. The five Indian-American teenagers studied at Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia. According to reports, the accident occurred on May 14 on the Westside Parkway, just north of Maxwell Road in Alpharetta, Georgia.
The injured students are Georgia State University student and driver of the Honda Accord, Rithvak Sompalli, and Alpharetta High School senior Mohammed Liakath.
According to the police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, due to which the vehicle went out of control and hit a tree. Aryan Joshi and Shriya Avasarala were found dead at the spot.
Rear passenger Anvi Sharma later died at North Fulton Hospital.
Police are investigating the reason behind the accident, but preliminary data suggests that speed may have been a factor.
