Lucknow: More power to the already empowered section of the society, which constitute around 48 percent of the total human population. Celebrated each year on March 8, the International Women’s Day throws the spotlight on women and their rights.
As written on the official website of IWD, it is a “global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.”
Like every year, this year too has an interesting theme to celebrate the contribution and role of all women in the society. The theme for 2021 is ‘Let’s all choose to challenge’.
“We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge,” states the website.
