Noida: An official said that the body of a private security guard with cut marks on his neck was recovered from a park in Ghaziabad on Tuesday. The security guard was 30-year-old.
According to the police report, the victim identified as Arzoo Shaikh. They said that the body of Arzoo Shaikh, a resident of West Bengal, was found in the Green Park of Abhay section of Ghaziabad after information from a morning walker.
Indirapuram Additional Police Commissioner Swatantra Kumar Singh said that prima facie it appeared that Shaikh was drunk and had a fight with someone, who allegedly slit his throat.
Singh said that deep wound marks were found on the neck of the deceased. The ACP said a team of forensic experts has collected evidence from an empty liquor bottle and a knife lying near the body.
He said Shaikh was appointed as a guard by a security agency about a month ago after coming to Ghaziabad in search of a job.
The dead body has been sent for post-mortem. Police said more information about the cause of death will be revealed after receiving the autopsy report.
