Sawan 2023: These days the wind of faith is blowing in Ram’s city Ayodhya. A big gathering of Kavandis was seen on the banks of Saryu on Wednesday. Lakhs of Kavandis who reached Ayodhya after taking bath left for Jalabhishek water at Basti Bhadeshwarnath temple. A large number of kanwariyas involved in this Kanwar Yatra are dancing to the tunes of the DJ. With the arrival of kanwariyas in Sawan, there is a devotional atmosphere in the whole city. Meanwhile, a large number of devotees are expected to arrive in the city on the second Monday of Sawan i.e. July 17. Adequate security arrangements have been made keeping in view the number of Kavandis. The Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway has been closed till July 16. In view of this, the district administration has issued some guidelines regarding traffic.
In view of the apprehension of jam in the city, the district administration has implemented diversions on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow highway since Wednesday night. Under this, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow National Highway has been closed for a total of 156 hours from Wednesday night till 12 noon on July 18.
Toll Plaza management had also raised objections
On the other hand, vehicles have been diverted to alternate routes at Tehsinpur Toll Plaza, Pipri Toll Plaza located on Prayagraj Highway. However, the toll plaza management had also raised objection regarding this. Later late in the night, the police has completely banned the traffic on this route. In the earlier advisory, the Ayodhya Police had prepared a plan to implement traffic diversion from 12:00 midnight on Thursday to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, July 18.

Vehicles going from Gorakhpur towards Lucknow will be diverted from Santakbir Nagar and sent ahead via Bakhira, Nandor, Khesraha, Bansi.
Vehicles (government buses) going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow will go from Basti Badevan Overbridge to Manauri, Bewa Chauraha (Dumariaganj) to Lucknow via Utraula, Gonda.
Vehicles coming from Ambedkar Nagar-Tanda towards Basti will be diverted on Kalwari-Dhanghata road.
Arrangements will be made to divert vehicles coming from Lucknow and Ayodhya to Katra, Lakadmandi towards Nawabganj Mankapur and vehicles coming from Gonda to Gorakhpur via Mankapur, Utraula, Dumariaganj, Bansi, Nandour, Bakhira via Nawabganj.
Arrangements will be made to stop the vehicles going towards Gorakhpur and Basti from Lucknow-Barabanki and divert them according to their convenience.
