Grand Opening of Ram Mandir: PM Modi to Enthrone Ram Lalla on Gold-Plated Throne

In a historic event set to take place on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will enthrone Ram Lalla on a magnificent gold-plated throne inside the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The pran pratishtha ceremony will mark the grand opening of the temple, and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will also grace the occasion. Devotees eagerly anticipate the temple’s opening, which will be accessible to them from January 23.

The throne, a remarkable piece of craftsmanship, stands at an impressive eight feet in height, three feet in length, and four feet in width, made from exquisite Makrana marble. Crafted at the workshop run by the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust in Rajasthan, the throne will arrive in Ayodhya on December 15. Skilled artisans will cover it with gold plates, utilizing gold bricks and other precious items donated by devotees.

Not stopping at the throne, the Trust has decided to adorn all 18 doors on the ground floor of the Ram Mandir, as well as the temple’s shikhar (dome), with gold plating. Construction of the ground floor is complete, with flooring work on the Parikrama Marg underway. The Trust is progressing swiftly on the first floor, having achieved 80% completion. Pillars are currently being installed on the first floor, aiming for completion before the temple opens its doors to devotees in January.

The temple’s construction is meticulous, featuring 160 pillars on the ground floor, 132 on the first floor, and 74 on the second floor, each floor towering at 20 feet high. To honor this momentous occasion, the Trust is compiling a list of 4000 saints and 2500 prominent individuals from across the country, all of whom will receive invitations to the opening ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

The festivities will be accompanied by Vedic rituals, commencing a week prior to the main ceremony on January 16, adding a spiritual aura to this monumental event in Ayodhya’s history.
