Greater Noida: One dead after e-rickshaw filled with crackers explodes during Jagannath yatra | Watch

An e-rickshaw carrying firecrackers caught fire during the Jagannath Yatra in Dadri, Greater Noida. Due to which there was a huge explosion. The video of the explosion was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop, two people were seriously injured after being hit by fireworks.

Dadri/Greater Noida: A major accident took place during the Jagannath Yatra being taken out on NH-91 in Dadri, Greater Noida. Fireworks placed in an e-rickshaw caused a huge explosion, after which there was chaos all around. The video of the explosion was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop, two people were seriously injured after being hit by fireworks. E-rickshaw driver Salman died during treatment. At the same time, the treatment of one person is going on.

In the video of the incident captured in the CCTV camera, it is seen that the fireworks exploded due to a spark falling in the e-rickshaw carrying fireworks. After which there was chaos all around and there was a stampede among the people. Everyone started running from there to save their lives. In this incident, two persons Salman (fireworks) and Pappu (driver of e-rickshaw carrying fireworks) both were injured. One person died tragically during treatment.

ADCP Greater Noida told that this incident happened when Jagannath Shobhayatra was being taken out in traditional way in Dadri town. A large number of people participated in the procession. This Shobha Yatra was being taken out in a very gentle manner with the tune of Dhol Nagadon and DJ and fireworks were also taking place in this Yatra. During that time this accident happened. The fireworks kept in the e-rickshaw caught fire and two people got burnt in it. In this matter, the police is investigating and taking further action.

The police added that Salman, who was lighting the fireworks and Pappu, the driver of the e-rickshaw, were injured during the accident. “Today, on 28.02.2023, the above injured Salman has died during treatment at Delhi Pant Hospital, other necessary legal action is being taken,” the police tweet further said.
