GT vs SRH, IPL 2023: GT enters playoffs after one-sided 34-run win against Hyderabad

IPL 2023: Chasing the target of 189 runs, the team of Sunrisers Hyderabad could reach only 154 runs. Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma took 4-4 wickets for Gujarat.

GT vs SRH, IPL 2023 Match 62: Gujarat Titans (GT) have entered the playoffs after a one-sided 34-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). With this victory, the defending champions Gujarat Titans are now confirmed to finish on top-2 after the league matches.

The team of Sunrisers Hyderabad had got a target of 189 runs in this match and they could only manage to score 154 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. For Gujarat, Shubman Gill got a century in this match. And in bowling, Mohammad Shami and Mohit Sharma got 4-4 wickets.

Hyderabad lost half of its team till the score of 45.

Chasing the target of 189 runs, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team got off to a very bad start. Hyderabad got the first blow on the score of 6 in the form of Anmolpreet Singh, who became the victim of Mohammed Shami on a personal score of 5. After this, Yash Dayal made Abhishek Sharma his victim and gave second blow to Hyderabad on the score of 11.

After both the opening batsmen returned to the pavilion, Sunrisers Hyderabad expected a partnership by Rahul Tripathi and captain Aiden Markram. But on the score of 12, Hyderabad got the third blow in the form of Rahul Tripathi, who returned to the pavilion after scoring only 1 run. From here, a 17-run partnership was seen between Markram and Klaasen for the fourth wicket.

Hyderabad got the fourth blow on the score of 29 in the form of captain Aiden Markram, who scored 10 runs and was dismissed by Shami. On the score of 45, Hyderabad lost its 5th wicket in the form of Sanveer Singh, who was dismissed after scoring 7 runs.

Shubman Gill’s bat power shown in Gujarat’s innings

If we talk about the innings of Gujarat Titans in this match, then the opening batsman Shubman Gill got to see the wonder of the bat. Gujarat had lost the first wicket in their innings on a score of zero. After this, there was a partnership of 147 runs in 84 balls for the second wicket between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. Sai Sudarshan’s innings of 47 runs came out in 36 balls.

At the same time, Gill played an important role in taking Gujarat’s score to 188 runs in 20 overs, playing an innings of 101 runs in 58 balls. In bowling for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 5 wickets while Marco Janson, Fazhallak Farooqui and T Natarajan took 1-1 wickets.
