Gujarat: On Sunday, officials said that a fire broke out at a multiplex located in a commercial building in Surat city of Gujarat. After receiving information about this, several fire tenders were rushed on the spot. He added this fire destroying a screen and a number of chairs in the theatre.

According to the information, he said that there was no news of any casualty in the theater as it was closed at the time of the incident, but two firefighters suffered minor injuries during the operation to control the fire.

After the incident, a fire official said the fire broke out around 9 am in one of the screens of the Time Cinema multiplex, which has seven screens and is located on the top floor of a four-storey building in Pal area.

Deputy Fire Officer Girish Navik said that Eight fire tenders were sent to the spot to control the fire caused by short-circuit. He said that it took about two and a half hours to control the fire.

Giving information about this, the official said, “A fire broke out in one screen of the seven-screen multiplex located on the fourth floor of Fortune Mall in Pal area of ​​Surat.” He said, “Eight fire vehicles were deployed to control it. The fire was brought under control before it spread to other parts of the multiplex.”

He also said that most of the chairs and screens were destroyed in the fire but as the hall was empty there were no reports of any casualties. He said two firefighters suffered minor injuries during the fire extinguishing operation.
