Gujarat: Earthquake tremors in Kutch, magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale

Earthquake tremors have been felt in Gujarat's Kutch. Its intensity has been recorded as 3.8 on the Richter scale. However, there is no news of any damage after this earthquake. Let us know that earlier on Sunday too, two earthquake shocks were felt, one of which had a magnitude of 4.3. The earthquake struck at 10.49 am on Monday.

New Delhi: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Gujarat’s Kutch. Its intensity has been recorded as 3.8 on the Richter scale. However, there is no news of any damage after this earthquake. Let us know that earlier on Sunday too, two earthquake shocks were felt, one of which had a magnitude of 4.3. The earthquake struck at 10.49 am on Monday. The epicenter of the earthquake was 62 km north-northeast at Lakhpat in Kutch.

An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred in Rajkot, Gujarat at 3:21 am on Sunday. This was informed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The NCS tweeted that tremors were felt about 270 km North West of Rajkot at 3:21 pm. Last week, three minor earthquake tremors were felt in two days in Gujarat’s Amreli district.

A 3.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Savarkundla taluka of Amreli district on Thursday. However, there was no loss of life or property. The tremors were recorded at a depth of 6.2 km, 44 km south-southeast of Amreli at Mitiyala village in Savarkundla taluka.

Let it be known that Dr N Poorna Chandra Rao, Chief Scientist of the Department of Seismology of the National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad, has warned that in the state of India’s Uttarakhand region and part of Western Nepal, an earthquake like Turkey can occur anytime. An earthquake of 7.8 magnitude occurred in Turkey due to which more than 50 thousand people lost their lives.
