Gujarat elections: Congress releases fourth list of 9 candidates

Gujarat: The Congress released its fourth list of nine candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections. Congress has so far announced a total of 104 candidates. In the fourth list, tickets have been given to Malubhai Kandoria from Dwarka, Revat Singh Gohil from Bhavnagar Rural, Baldev Solanki from Bhavnagar East and Jaikantbhai Patel from Bharuch.

Gujarat: The Congress released its fourth list of nine candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections. Congress has so far announced a total of 104 candidates. Congress released its first list of 43 candidates on Friday, second list of 46 candidates on Thursday and third list of seven candidates on Friday. The candidate for one seat was changed in the third list.

In the fourth list, tickets have been given to Malubhai Kandoria from Dwarka, Revat Singh Gohil from Bhavnagar Rural, Baldev Solanki from Bhavnagar East and Jaikantbhai Patel from Bharuch.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday announced the names of three more candidates for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections. However, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is yet to decide the constituency for its chief ministerial candidate Isudan Gadhvi. With the 15th list, AAP has so far announced the names of 176 candidates for the 182-member assembly elections.

In the new list, AAP has given tickets to Mahendra Parmar and Mahendra Patil. Mahendra Parmar will contest from Siddhpur and Mahendra Patil from Udhna. The party has given ticket to Lalji Parmar in place of Mahipatsinh Chauhan in Matar constituency of Kheda district. Meanwhile, AAP has appointed Koli community leader Raju Solanki from Bhavnagar as its national joint secretary.

The Congress also released its manifesto for the Gujarat Assembly elections on Saturday. In this, the Congress has promised 10 lakh jobs, LPG cylinders for Rs 500, 300 units of free electricity per month and Rs 3,000 as allowance for the unemployed. The Congress says that if voted to power, it will revoke the exemption granted by the state government to the premature release of 11 convicts in the 2002 Bilkis Bano case. Not only this, the Narendra Modi Stadium located in Motera area of ​​Ahmedabad will be renamed as Sardar Patel Stadium again.
