Navsari: In Gujarat, the political atmosphere has started heating up regarding the assembly elections. From the Aam Aadmi Party to the Congress, all the leaders are campaigning fiercely in their respective areas to give competition to the BJP. In such a situation, on Saturday (October 08), Congress MLA and tribal leader Anant Patel was attacked by some miscreants, after which the atmosphere immediately turned violent and the crowd of people set the vehicles on fire.

According to the information, some unidentified people attacked Congress MLA and tribal leader Anant Patel in Khergam of Navsari district. After being attacked, Congress workers, protesting there, set a shop on fire and also ransacked the fire brigade which reached the spot.

Congress MLA Anant Patel told news agency AAI that I was coming here for a meeting. Then my car was vandalized by the head of the Zilla Panchayat and his goons, and I was taken out and beaten up. He said that if you become a tribal leader, we will not leave the tribal.

At the same time, MLA Anant Patel started a dharna in protest against the attack on him. He said that we are sitting on dharna. We will protest here until the Zilla Panchayat chief and his goons are caught. Highways in 14 districts will be blocked by tribals till then. Whoever raises voice in the rule of BJP government. He is beaten up and sent to jail. He has directly accused the BJP of the attack on him.
