Gujarat Poll 2022: CM Arvind Kejriwal announces ex-TV anchor Isudan Gadhvi as AAP CM candidate

New Delhi: On Friday, Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has announced the party's chief ministerial candidate for the Gujarat assembly elections. The party has named Isudan Gadhvi as its chief ministerial candidate. Isudan Gadhvi is a former journalist and has a huge fan following.

New Delhi: On Friday, Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has announced the party’s chief ministerial candidate for the Gujarat assembly elections . The party has named Isudan Gadhvi as its chief ministerial candidate. Isudan Gadhvi is a former journalist and has a huge fan following. Isudan Gadhvi has also worked as an anchor of his popular news show Mahamanthan at VTV Gujarati.

Top sources in the party had told that Isudan Gadhvi or Gopal Italia could potentially become the chief ministerial face of the AAP. Let us tell you that the assembly elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases. Under the first phase, polling will be held on December 1 while the second phase will be held on December 5, while the counting of votes will be held on December 8 along with the Himachal Vidhan Sabha.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) had announced the dates on Thursday. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has intensified its campaign after the announcement of the election dates. The party will start conducting road shows from Saturday in which Kejriwal will walk with the chief ministerial candidate. According to party sources, AAP will conduct two to three road shows daily.

The party began its election campaign in June by announcing several guarantees, undertaking visits and conducting door-to-door campaigns. The party is giving a tough competition to the BJP and the Congress in terms of discussion and publicity. There are total 182 assembly seats in Gujarat and 92 seats are needed to form the government.
