New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Gujarat, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects of Sabar Dairy on Thursday. During the inauguration, PM Modi said that today Sabar Dairy has expanded. New projects worth hundreds of crores are being set up here. The milk powder plant equipped with modern technology and the addition of one more line in the A-septic packing section will further increase the capacity of Sabar Dairy. He said that till 2014, less than 40 crore liters of ethanol were blended in the country. Today it is reaching around 400 crore liters. Our government has also given Kisan Credit Cards to more than 3 crore farmers by running a special campaign in the last 2 years.

Let us tell you that this milk producers union is also known as Sabar Dairy. This plant built at Sabar Dairy has a capacity to produce 120 metric tonnes of milk powder per day. According to a minister in the Gujarat government, Modi will also inaugurate Sabar Dairy’s plant with a capacity to process three lakh liters of milk per day. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a cheese plant to be built at a cost of Rs 600 crore.

The Prime Minister said that today the work of formation of 10 thousand Farmer Producer Associations (FPOs) is going on fast in the country. Through these FPOs, small farmers will be able to directly connect with the food processing, value linked export and supply chain. It is going to benefit the farmers of Gujarat a lot. Due to the efforts made by the Central Government in the last 8 years to increase the income of the farmer, the income of farmers is increasing in different parts of the country including Gujarat. The income of farmers has also increased significantly due to horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries. There has also been an increase in the income of farmers with small landholdings. That is, the strategy of working on alternative sources of income other than crops is working today.

PM said – Khadi and village industries are also a good example of this. The turnover of Khadi Village Industries has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore for the first time. This is the reason that in the last 8 years, more than 1.5 crore jobs have been created in the village from this area. Till 2014, less than 400 million liters of ethanol were blended in the country. Today it is reaching about 400 crore liters. Our government has also given Kisan Credit Cards to more than 3 crore farmers by running a special campaign in the last two years.

PM further said,Our government has declared the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda ji on 15th November as Tribal Pride Day. Our government is also building a special museum in the memory of tribal freedom fighters across the country. Another big coincidence has happened at this important stage of independence. For the first time, the country’s daughter coming from tribal society has reached the highest constitutional post of India. The country has made Mrs. Draupadi Murmu as its President. This is a moment of great pride for more than 130 crore Indians.

In this campaign, from August 13, every house in the country will unfurl the tricolor. Take the pledge of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by hoisting this tricolor in the whole of Gujarat and the entire country. The dream of inclusive democracy, seen by our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for freedom, is coming true. Today, I urge all the people of Gujarat and all the countrymen from this holy land of Sabarkantha that on the completion of 75 years of independence, the Tricolor campaign is being started at Har Ghar.
