New Delhi: An IndiGo flight to Dibrugarh made an emergency landing at the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Assam’s Guwahati on Sunday morning after it developed a technical glitch. It also had Union Minister Rameshwar Teli, Dibrugarh MLA Prashant Phukan and Duniyajan MLA Tersh Gwala on board.
MLA Phukan said that all the passengers are in Guwahati. Everyone is safe. According to information, Indigo flight number 6E2652 going from Guwahati to Dibrugarh in the morning was suddenly diverted back to Guwahati and made an emergency landing there.
Apart from other passengers in this aircraft, India’s Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameshwar Teli was also on board the aircraft number 6E2652. Apart from this, Assam’s Dibrugarh MLA Prashant Phukan and Duniyajan’s MLA Teresh Gwala were also present.
Confirming the incident, MLA Phukan said, it must have been about 15 minutes since it left Guwahati that the aircraft was informed to be taken back to Guwahati all of a sudden. It is being told that there is a technical fault in the plane.
He told that we all are safe in Guwahati. He said, now all the passengers are worried here. Till now no one is able to know till when they will be taken to Dibrugarh. No alternative arrangements have been made so far.
