Harjot Singh Bains Wedding News: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Education Minister in Punjab government Harjot Singh Bains tied the knot with Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Jyoti Yadav at a gurudwara in Rupnagar district on Saturday. Both of them got engaged recently. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and many other leaders had also reached this high profile wedding ceremony.

His funeral took place yesterday morning at eight o’clock at Gurudwara Bhambore Sahib in Nangal, Ropar district of Punjab. He is married to IPS Jyoti Yadav.

Bains, a first-time MLA from Anandpur Sahib constituency in Rupnagar district, is the education minister in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government. A lawyer by profession, 32-year-old Bains hails from Gambhirpur village in Anandpur Sahib. In the 2017 elections, he contested from Sahnewal constituency but lost. Bains has earlier headed the youth wing of AAP in the state.

Jyoti Yadav is SP in Punjab Police. He is posted as SP in Mansa, Punjab. Earlier she has also been ADCP in Ludhiana. IPS Jyoti Yadav’s family lives in Gurugram, Haryana. Like Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Jyoti Yadav is also very active on social media. Harjot Singh Bains has more than 71 thousand followers on Instagram. At the same time, IPS Jyoti Yadav has more than 68 thousand followers on her Instagram account.

Last year, AAP came into the limelight after a public debate with MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina. Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina accused the IPS officer of conducting a search operation in her constituency without informing her. Yadav was then Assistant Commissioner of Police in Ludhiana. He told Ludhiana South MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina that he had received instructions from the Commissioner of Police to conduct a search operation against anti-social elements.
