Karnal: There is news of a major accident in Tarawadi of Karnal, Haryana on Tuesday morning. A three-storied building of a rice mill named Shiv Shakti, located here, collapsed. Many laborers were sleeping in the building at the time of the accident, who were buried under the debris. At least 4 laborers died in this accident, while 20 others were injured.
The name of this rice mill is Shiva Shakti Mill. According to the information, more than 100 laborers used to sleep in this building of the mill. A few workers who slept at the Shiv Shakti Rice Mill are feared to be trapped under the rubble.
Immediately after the accident, fire brigade, police, ambulance and social organizations reached the spot and engaged in relief and rescue work and pulled out the laborers from the wreckage.
Karnal SP Shashank Sawan has also reached the spot and the police is interrogating the owner of the mill.
