While talking to the media, lawyer Harkesh Kumar said that the case is of October 2020, when the victim had lodged a complaint in the women’s police station of Palwal and she had told in her complaint that her father had been sexually exploiting her for the last three years.
Harkesh Kumar said, “The accused was caught on October 3, 2020.” A case was registered in this regard under sections 323, 354-A, 376, 506 of the IPC and sections 6 and 10 of the POCSO Act.
Kumar also informed that at the time of filing of FIR, the victim was four months pregnant and later she gave birth to a girl, whose blood sample was taken and the DNA of the blood sample matched with the DNA of the accused.
He said,”The court has sentenced the accused to death.” Kumar also said, “A fine of Rs 15000 has also been imposed on the accused and the court has also awarded a compensation of Rs 7.5 lakh to the victim.”
