CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has ordered a magisterial probe into the boiler blast at a spare parts manufacturing facility in Rewari district, which left 40 workers injured. A devastating boiler explosion occurred at a factory in Dharuhera, Rewari, Haryana on the evening of March 16, 2024, injuring around 40 people, officials said. The incident, which unfolded in the city’s industrial area, prompted immediate response from emergency services, with Civil Surgeon Dr Surendra Yadav confirming that a seriously injured patient was referred to Rohtak.
Saini has directed the Rewari Deputy Commissioner to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured.
Around 40 workers were rushed to various hospitals with burn injuries following the blast in the manufacturing facility in the industrial area of Dharuhera in Rewari on Saturday, police said.
Following the blast, emergency teams, including ambulances and police, were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance. The injured were taken to Sir Shadi Lal Trauma Center in Rewari. Pramod Kumar from the City Police Station highlighted the prompt action taken to ensure prompt medical care to the injured, with those in critical condition being referred to higher medical centers in Rohtak. It is fortunate that there were no casualties in this incident.
The cause of the boiler explosion is currently being investigated by local authorities. This incident has highlighted the critical importance of industrial safety measures and regulatory compliance in preventing such accidents. It has also prompted discussion on the need for stringent inspections and regular safety audits to protect the welfare of factory workers.
