Chandigarh: Haryana police have arrested a man on suspicion of stealing Sonali Phogat’s laptop and mobile phone on Tuesday from her farmhouse. Phogat’s murder rocked the entire nation.
The family members of Phogat had accused computer operator Shivam of stealing her laptop, DVR, mobile and other gadgets from the office that she operated from her farmhouse.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant stated that a chargesheet would be filed soon and a secret report of Phogat had been forwarded to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
Sonali Phogat was declared dead on August 23 at the St. Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa. A post-mortem report revealed that the body of a 42-year-old had blunt force injuries and the Goa Police immediately launched a murder probe.
Sonali Phogat, the BJP leader who had participated in Bigg Boss, was allegedly drugged by her two aides. Both have been detained now after being identified as defendants in the case, according to the Goa Police.
The two accused, Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh, are in the net of the police. Further investigations are underway as per the Goa Police.
The police have already arrested a suspected drug dealer Edwin Nunes, regarding the murder of Sonali Phogat, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi.
“We’ve sent the confidential report to the Haryana CM. So far, I am satisfied with the investigation conducted by our police team. Five people have been arrested. Soon, a chargesheet will be filed, “Goa CM said.”
