New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government in Haryana, claiming that it has left behind all other states and become the “unemployment champion.”
The statement was made by Rahul Gandhi when the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s second phase began on Friday from Panipat in Haryana.
Rahul Gandhi added that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates and the Center’s 2016 move to devalue currency were not policies but rather “weapons to destroy small and medium businesses.”
According to information, as the yatra resumed, prominent figures from the social sciences and technical fields walked with Rahul Gandhi.
“The Holberg Prize winner for 2022, Professor Sheila Sen Jasanoff, Professor Jay H. Jasanoff, and Professor of History at Varanasi, Dr. Mohd Arif, joined the fight against regressive ideology,” the party said.
Senior Congress leaders from Haryana, including Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kumari Selja, Deepender Singh Hooda, Karan Singh Dalal, Udai Bhan, and Kuldeep Sharma, also walked with Rahul Gandhi in the yatra.
