Hathras Mahotsav Set to Kick Off on December 15

Hathras Mahotsav, a week-long cultural extravaganza, is poised to commence on December 15 with an expanded array of events this year. The festival is currently seeking suggestions to finalize its theme, and prominent artists from across the nation have been invited to participate, as announced by Jaiveer Singh, the Tourism and Culture Minister of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday.

Jaiveer Singh confirmed that all necessary permissions for the weeklong festival, encompassing art, craft, and cultural presentations, have been secured, with the state government giving the green light. He expressed enthusiasm about providing a platform for local artisans to showcase their skills during Hathras Mahotsav, citing the success of the five-day event organized in March.

Singh emphasized, “The objective of such events is to spotlight the rich cultural tapestry of Uttar Pradesh, spanning food, attire, art, and craft. The Mahotsav serves as a valuable opportunity for the state’s artists and artisans to garner exposure, contributing to the creation of more employment opportunities within the state
