New Delhi: 121 people died after a stampede during a satsang in Hathras district of UP. After this accident, leaders from across the country expressed condolences. Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is on Hathras tour today. Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has left for stampede-hit Hathras. In Hathras he will meet the families affected by the stampede in which 121 people lost their lives. Let us tell you that the government has also announced compensation for the families of those who lost their lives in the accident.

Actually, this morning Rahul Gandhi left for Hathras. After some time he will reach Pilkhana village of Hathras. It is being told that in Hathras, Rahul Gandhi will meet the families of the four deceased and some of the injured.

It is being told that the names of the deceased whose relatives Rahul Gandhi will meet include Shanti Devi wife Vijay Singh, Manju Devi wife Chhote Lal, Pankaj son Chhote Lal and Premvarti Devi wife Ramesh Chandra. Let us tell you that all these people died in the accident. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi left at 5 o’clock. He is going to Hathras via Yamuna Expressway. The local police and CRPF personnel deployed for Rahul Gandhi’s security have already arrived in Pilkhana village.

Earlier on Thursday, Congress’ Uttar Pradesh unit president Ajay Rai held the state government responsible for the Hathras stampede incident. Ajay Rai told reporters at the party’s state headquarters, “The Hathras incident is a failure of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Yesterday the Chief Minister visited Hathras and later Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also went there. They did not go together, indicating internal strife. He reiterated Congress’s demand for compensation of Rs 1 crore to the families of those killed in the stampede and Rs 25 lakh to the injured.
