Hathras Stampede Tragedy: Death toll climbs to 121, PIL seeking probe into incident filed in Allahabad HC

Hathras Stampede Accident: After the death of 121 people in the stampede during Hathras Satsang, advocate Gaurav Dwivedi has filed a letter petition in Allahabad High Court. In this letter petition, a CBI or judicial inquiry has been demanded into the entire matter.

Prayagraj: The case of death of 121 people in the stampede during the satsang of Bhole Baba in Phulrai in Hathras district of UP has now reached the threshold of Allahabad High Court. A letter petition has been filed to get the entire matter investigated by CBI or Special Investigation Team. There has also been a demand for action against the officers responsible for such a large number of deaths.

Advocate Gaurav Dwivedi has sent a letter petition to Chief Justice Arun Bhansali. In the letter petition, a demand has been made for a CBI or judicial inquiry into the entire incident. In the letter petition, a demand has been made to suspend the officers responsible for the incident and action against those responsible for the death of 121 people. Besides, a demand has also been made to order the entire matter to be investigated by a special investigative agency.

Advocate Gaurav Dwivedi has also demanded that appropriate compensation be given to the families of the injured and the deceased in the accident. Besides, a demand has also been made to make arrangements for proper treatment of the injured. In the letter petition, the court has also been demanded to issue necessary guidelines to the state government to stop such incidents. If the court approves this letter petition, then a public interest litigation can be filed and heard. The court can also give some strict order in this matter.

It is noteworthy that the death toll in the Hathras stampede incident has reached 121. Most of the dead include women. However, 19 dead bodies have not been identified yet. All the officers present on the spot and two ministers of Yogi government are busy in managing the arrangements. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself will visit Hathras District Hospital on Wednesday to know the well being of the injured. We will also take updates on the accident from the officials.
