Health Minister to visit airport as 39 International travellers test COVID-19 +ve in last 2 days

So far 220 variants of corona have arrived in India, according to sources the death rate will not increase in the country due to covid infection but cases will increase.

New Delhi: India is on high alert in view of the massive outbreak of Covid in China. Checking is going on at the airport regarding this. So far 39 international air passengers coming to India in the last two days across the country have been found to be Covid positive, according to sources. In this matter, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will visit Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport tomorrow and take stock of the situation. After the spurt in Covid infection, a total of 6000 people were randomly tested under the new protocol.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will visit airport tomorrow to take stock of the situation in Corona. It has to be seen which hospital has what facilities behind doing mockdrill regarding Covid. According to sources, the death rate will not increase in the country due to Covid infection but cases will increase.

So far 220 variants of Corona have arrived in India. Out of international travelers, 6000 people were tested out of which 39 people were found positive. These tests have been done in two days. The BF7 strain of Covid has been isolated. The effect of the vaccine is being seen on this variant. January is an important month from the point of view of infection. Air facility will start for six countries next week. People coming from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand will be required to undergo RTPCR test.

India Records 188 New Cases In 24 Hours
India logged 188 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases increased to 3,468, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated today. The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.46 crore (4,46,77,647). The death count stands at 5,30,696, the data updated at 8 am stated. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.14%, while weekly positivity was pegged at 0.18%, the ministry said. It said 1,34,995 tests for detection of Covid have been conducted in the last 24 hours.

Four variants of the corona virus have been held responsible for the surge in Covid cases in China. The BF.7 variant of Covid is responsible for only 15 percent of the cases. BN and BQ series virus has spread 50 percent of the infection. SVV variant has caused 10-15 percent infection.
