Hearing on Sisodia’s bail plea today, CBI will present it in the court after the remand is over

Manish Sisodia’s bail application may be heard today. Sisodia will be produced before a judge on March 4 after the CBI’s five-day remand period ends. Sisodia’s lawyer Hrishikesh told that this application has been given in the court of Special Judge MK Nagpal, who has fixed the hearing for Saturday.

Sisodia was arrested on Sunday after nearly eight hours of questioning in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22. On February 27, the court had sent Sisodia to CBI custody so that the CBI could get correct answers to the questions being asked for fair investigation of the case.

Sisodia has failed to give clarification till now

The court had said that the accused have failed to give a valid explanation regarding the prosecution evidence which has allegedly come to the fore during the investigation so far. The judge said that it is true that it cannot be expected that he will give such a statement which will implicate him, but in the interest of justice and fair investigation, it is necessary that he should give some valid answer to the questions being asked by the investigating officer.
