Heavy to extremely heavy downpour sounded for Uttarakhand and UP till Sept 17. View full forecast here

According to the India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of very heavy to very heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh till September 17. IMD said in its weather bulletin, "There is a possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh during 14th and 16th."

New Delhi: Nowadays, the sight of rain is being seen all over India. The weather department has issued red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 17 September. According to IMD, “There is a possibility of heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh during 14th and 16th.” Meanwhile, there is a possibility of heavy rains in many parts of Madhya Pradesh on September 15 and in Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The weather department has issued orange alert for Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Konkan, and Goa from 14-17 September.

Heavy rain alert in these states
Rain is also expected in Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department said, “There is a possibility of very widespread rain in Haryana and East Rajasthan on September 14 and 15, in Himachal Pradesh on September 16 and 17.

Meanwhile there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of the east and west coast of the country. There is a possibility of rain in Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim as well as over Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa and Gujarat.

There is a possibility of rain in Saurashtra and Kutch on 15th, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 15th and 16th. Very heavy rainfall has also been predicted in Gujarat region on Thursday and over Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan and Goa till Friday.

The northeastern states including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal and Tripura are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain and thundershowers till September 16. The rain activities are very likely to remain subdued over South Peninsular India during the next five days.

-Very heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning likely over Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh during 14-16 September and over West Madhya Pradesh on 14 September, 2022.

-Very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls also likely over Uttarakhand & Uttar Pradesh on 17 September

-Heavy falls likely over northeast Madhya Pradesh on 14 and15 September, over northwest Madhya Pradesh on 15 and 16 September and over Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh on 18 September

-Moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm, lightning very likely over Haryana and East Rajasthan on 14 and 15 September, over Himachal Pradesh on16 and17 September, 2022. Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over East Rajasthan on 14th & 15th September, 2022.
