New Delhi: There is heavy rain in the country’s national capital Delhi and NCR region. The Meteorological Department (IMD) had already predicted heavy rains in the capital. Due to the rain, the temperature has dropped and people have got relief from the heat.

Water filled the streets of Delhi

Delhiites are facing a lot of trouble due to rain. The road near ITO in Delhi is flooded with water. Apart from this, water has also accumulated up to 1.5 feet in Azadpur underpass. Azadpur underpass has been closed due to waterlogging. Giving this information by tweeting, Delhi Traffic Police said that avoid going on these routes.

Meteorological Department issued orange alert

According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to rain for the next three days and today it will rain throughout the day in Delhi, due to which an orange alert has been issued in Delhi. There is news of rain with thunder and lightning in many areas.

Weather change

The process of heavy rain that started in Delhi-NCR since last night is continuing. The rain has changed the mood of the weather. The humid atmosphere that has been going on for many days has ended and after the long rains, the temperature has also come down. The temperature has come down to 27 degree Celsius.

However, due to the overnight rain, water has been flooded in many places in Delhi. Due to this people are facing problem in commuting. As the day progresses, the shortage due to water logging will also increase as it is raining continuously.

Earlier, the Indian Meteorological Department predicted that Delhi, Bahadurgarh, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Loni Dehat, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Noida, Greater Noida and Kaithal would receive heavy rains today.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also predicted rain in Panipat, Ganaur, Sonipat, Narwana, Jind, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Palwal, Karnal, Saharanpur, Deoband, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Baraut and Baghpat.
