Here are 6 Kettlebell exercises to lose weight

Strength training is essential for effective weight loss. It helps to increase the fat burning process, tone muscles and also build strength. Those who go to the gym, have many choices of weights lifting pieces of equipment to choose from. But when it comes to training at home, it is always a conundrum to choose one piece of equipment that can help them perform myriad exercises. Of all the weight lifting equipment, we recommend using the kettlebell. This one-piece of weight can help you perform exercises to target complex muscles group. We have listed 6 exercises that can be performed when trying to tone up from different areas of the body.

​Goblet squat

Step 1: Stand straight with your feet wider than hip-width apart.

Step 2: Hold a kettlebell with both hands close to your chest.

Step 3: Bend your knees and push your butt to come into a squat (thighs parallel to the ground), keeping your spine and neck straight.

Step 4: Pause for 2-3 seconds and then return to the starting position.

​Sumo squat

Step 1: Stand straight with your legs wider than hip-width apart and toes pointed outward at 45-degree angles.

Step 2: Hold a kettlebell with both hands near your chest.

Step 3: Bend your knees, push your hips back and squat down.

Step 4: Go down until your thighs are parallel to the ground.

Step 5: Hold this position for a few seconds and drive through the heels to stand up.

Step 1: Stand shoulder-width apart and place the kettlebell in between your feet.

Step 2: Bend your knees to grasp the kettlebell from both your hands.

Step 3: Pull the weight back between your legs to create momentum.

Step 4: Straighten your back to move the kettlebell up to your shoulder level.

Step 5: Again move the bell between your legs bending your hips and knees. Repeat this move 15- 20 times.

​Single leg deadlift

Step 1: Stand straight on the ground with your legs slightly apart and hold a kettlebell in your right hand in front of your right thigh.

Step 2: Shift your entire body weight to your right leg, then raise your left leg straight behind your back.

Step 3: Hinge your back at the hips to bring your torso parallel to the ground.

Step 4: Now lower the weight toward the floor. Your body should be in a straight line and your core tight.

Step 5: Pause for a few seconds and then push through your left heel to stand straight on the ground. Repeat the same 10-15 times, before switching your leg.

​Romanian deadlift

Step 1: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and hold the handle of the kettlebell with both your hands.

Step 2: Keeping your spine straight, hinge forward at your hips until the kettlebell is just below your knee.

Step 3: Tighten your glutes, hamstrings and core and drive your feet into the ground to stand straight, bringing the weight close to the upper thighs.

Step 4: Repeat the movement by lowering the weight between your knees and toes.

​Dumbbell thruster

Step 1: Stand with your feet hip-width apart and hold the handle of the kettlebell with both your hands.

Step 2: Keeping your spine straight, hinge forward at your hips until the kettlebell is just below your knee.

Step 3: Tighten your glutes, hamstrings and core and drive your feet into the ground to stand straight, bringing the weight close to the upper thighs.

Step 4: Repeat the movement by lowering the weight between your knees and toes.
