Have you ever wondered the amount paid to the delivery boys and girls of Swiggy, Zomato and UberEats? You must have noticed increased number of Swiggy, UberEats and Zomato delivery bikes roaming in the city these days. Well, the only reason of this is that all these online food companies are offering higher paid salaries and incentives to its delivery boys and girls in deliveries during peak hours and heavy rains.
Previously with the per month earnings of Rs. 18, 000 to 20, 000 to now many food executives earn between Rs. 40, 000 to Rs. 50, 000 per month.
A senior executive at one of the affected companies told media, “What food aggregators are paying delivery executives (bikers) is insane and impacting everybody. Bikers who deliver for Flipkart, Amazon and Big Basket are getting impacted as delivery boys are switching for want of better pay-outs.”
While Flipkart and Amazon declined to comment on the matter, Delivery and Big Basket did not respond to the media’s emailed queries. Both Swiggy and Zomato have been ramping up their delivery fleets after having scaled up their capacity significantly since the start of the year.
