Himachal: Landslide on Shimla-Kalka heritage rail track, alert driver averted major incident

Chandigarh: Monsoon is knocking all over India these days and heavy rains are causing landslides. In yet another shocking incident where a cautious train driver averted a major accident. He stopped the train on time. Train services were disrupted in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday due to a landslide. The landslide incident took place near Shimla-Kalka Heritage rail track.

Let us tell that when a train carrying more than 50 passengers reached near Patta Mor of Solan district, big stones started falling from a hill. However, due to the alertness of the driver, a major accident was averted. The driver immediately stopped the train by applying brakes

Actually, as soon as the monsoon arrives, there is a danger of landslides in the hilly areas. Recently, a landslide incident was reported in Dharchula, Uttarakhand. A video of it also went viral on social media.

At the same time, six people, including two sisters, were killed in a landslide in North Kannada and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka this month.
