Shimla: In a major explosion at a firecracker factory in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, on Tuesday, as many as seven people lost their lives while 12 others sustained burn injuries, a senior district official said.
As per an injured woman, around 30 to 35 people were working in the factory at the time of the blast. The fire broke out in the factory after sudden loud explosion.
So far six women workers have been confirmed dead in the accident. The cause of exposing at the factory is it to be a certain.
DSP Haroli Anil Bhatia said that investigation is being done on the spot. All states are being thoroughly examined. Anything can be said after investigation.
Una Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma told media that the incident occurred in the Bathu industrial area of Una district.
Prima facie, most of the dead and injured are migrant labourers, he added.
Police and rescue personnel are at the spot.
